390 fires for the first time
well today i borrowed a friends holley 650 carb, sense my street avenger wont be here till next week and after about an hour of finally getting it timed right, i hit the starter a few puffs of smoke and she fired away, ran pretty good and sounded awesome, with open headers it was very loud in the shop. the oil pressure is up good and everything seems to be working properly, i havnt got it out of the shop yet, so ive only run it for about 10 mins while breaking in the cam, so ill keep you guys posted as time passes and thanks for all the help on getting it going.

it sure was a nice feeling when she fired off, its got a nice lope in the idle with the 941 cam, now for some exhaust so i dont go death in the shop with open headers. now next on my list is to get the gas tank in working order, its a bit rusty for sitting for 5 years before i bought it. any suggestions on how to clean the tank.

rusty inside or out? any how if you take it out and have it blasted and paint it, with something to prevent rust, and They make something cant remember the name, you can use inside to make sure it's all sealed up

ill have to talk to napa or arnold motors today and see if they can do it, i dont like haveing a jug under the hood with a hose sticking in it for gas, i think ill take it out of the shop for the first time today and see how it goes.
