I need some sort of pad for mine b/c it was almost cutting into my neck this weekend on a long trip but then again I'm a bit broader than the average F-150 owner. I do like how the seatbelt does not do the automatic tighten to a strangle hold though. I had a Ford Ranger that did that.
I think my only real complaint that can not be fixed with the truck so far is the seatbealt. I'm 6'1 170 with the belt adjusted all the way up it hits my neck or my arm not my shoulder. I bought a pad for it and it seams to help, Ford had plenty more room to give it a couple more nothches I'm sure most people that drive trucks are a little above average in wieght and hieght. I wish ford would of given it a little more thought.
Yeah, my seatbelt seems to cross to the outside of my shoulder instead of the inside across my collarbone and I'm afraid if I get in an accident it will slip down to my elbow and not restrain my upper body . . . it could be the way I sit in the seat. I seem to be sitting upright in the center of the seat and I'm 5'10" . . . not sure.
Yep, the seatbelt rubs me across the collar bone, making the place sore after a six hour drive.
The belt needs some form of clip (a clothespin?) to fix the belt forward of the hole in the seat back. This would serve to loosen the belt across my shoulder.
As far as I know that scab and regular cabs have the seat belt on the seat where the screws have it on the pillar between the doors. Any of you guys that find the belt uncomfortable have screws? I have a scab and I think that mounting it on the seat changes the position that the belt crosses your body.
