Yall seen that newer Dodge Durango commercial where it claims to have more this and more that than the Ford Explorer. It's funny because anyone who aint completely stupid is going to know that the Explorer is not a fullsize SUV, it's a midsize. The durango is dodge's only suv, and it's full size. Just cracked me up! Put it against an Expedition or a Excursion, then we'll see who is better.
Pricewise, it's on par with the Explorer. That's probably why they chose that. It's a heck of a value for the money.
I tend to disagree with you as ive owned and own a dodge product currently and to phrase it best Garbage bought at any price is NEVER worth it Ive never had a dodge that i would deem as a reliable or decent vehicle
99 ranger bob hit the nail on the head with his comments. Dodge is pulling out all the stops in selling vehicles. No matter what it takes. Dodge doesnt have the loyalty GM and ford have so they have to do everything in there power to sell vehicles. A good friend of mine bought a new quad cab hemi recently. I just about crashed my pickup when I seen it. I couldnt believe it. My friend is truly a die hard ford guy or he was. His whole family has always had fords. He caught me off guard. But then I heard his wife is related to a dodge salesman up the road. Well that explains that.. Oh well. Ill have to ask him when I see him how he likes it.

He'll come around after he gets a few miles on it. That's when it'll start to tick him off.
I owned one too many DC products and should have learned from my dad's mistake. Guess you have to live and learn.
not to bash on dodge but i was on the way to my friends house, we were going to get the new engine for my mustang out of the machine shop....well i was driving westbound on US-301 and seen a red dodge ram quad cab in the ditch facing east on the westbound side, and a 02' or so f-250 4x4 in the median...well i pulled over to see if they were ok....the guy in the f-250 said that there wasnt an accident and i noticed the rear end was a lil low to the ground and i couldnt see the wheels...well the reason for that was that the axle was sitting about 200' back east in the ditch from the truck...the dodge owner was furious as this was an 04' with 550 some odd miles on it, he said he didnt know what the hell happened. The guy in the 250 said that all of a sudden the rear end cocked to the right then fell out...when i say rear end i mean the WHOLE thing, axle, driveshaft, and everything else....so no...no dodges for me EVER

The axle came out of the Dodge or the Ford? Hard to tell from your story.

My father has a 95 Ram 2500 with the V10. He's got some ungodly amount of miles on it, and it hasn't ever let him down. He's really hammered on it, too. <shrug>

its ok man we realize that it was a holiday weekend, a brain fart is allowed on this occasion.
They may be in the same price category, but insurance will be more on the Durango. My wife and I looked at the Explorer, Durango, and Chevy Trailblazer. The Durango was going to be a little over $1000 yr, the Explorer and TB were both around $600yr.

You didn't mention which truck you pulled over to, the Ford or the Dodge. Your other statements made the point, but had they not been made, the missing key piece of information above would have left many of us scratching their heads. Brain fart or not, written words are subject to many interpretations.
