Quick! Isky or edelbrock

I tore into my engine and found that i had an isky 262 supercam. is this better than the Edelbrock performer plus?

What are the rest of the specs? The performer is a little larger but it is a lazy cam. The valves move pretty slow.

If I were to switch cams I would not go to the performer. Take a look at the crane 343901 cam.

If you have stock heads a cam like the 343901 or the 343941 could help you out. The extra duration on the exhasut helps FEs with stock heads. That isky you have though was ground for low end torque and I bet it makes a ton of it!

I suppose I should explain my dilemma more. I bought an edelbrock performer kit and it came with the performer plus cam. I tore my engine down to the cam and found the isky in there. Funny that someone would cam an engine before getting a 4 barrel. I already have the isky and the edelbrock and am starting re-assembly. The isky is in great shape and it seems like noone likes the edel, so I think I'll stick with the isky.

Since you already have it you might think about using it. I don't think either choice will be wrong. The performer will help the exhaust breath a little better but the tight lobe center on the isky will bump up the torque peak a little. Its a tough choice.

If you have the Performer RPM cam then use it.
My engine with the Performer RPM package sounds like:

with muffs:

And it goes like HELL!
