I have read the DYNO test results but I was looking for some personal experiences. I have a 2000 F350 SC Dually 6spd PSD Lariat. I carry a 8' cabover camper (1800 dry)and tow a 21' River Jet boat (5500 +/-). I live in Oregon and travel from sealevel over mountain passes of 4000' plus. What would be the best for this package and terrain? Also do these chips cause problems with my onboard trip & fuel computer? Thank you for your replies.
Maybe this will help you a little. I have a 2001 F350 supercrew PSD, DUELLY 4.10 with the la west package. I put a superchip in at 1200 miles and drove from Boston to Key West Fla. and BAck towing a 15,000 lbs 5th wheel with 2 harley in back. it worked great. I do it in a minute again. Just keep your foot out of it because the power you get is unbelievable. I towed at 70 mph and got 9.0 miles per gallon, was good for me. I have 5200 miles on it now and getting better miles. Put the chip in.. MY opinion.
the cost of the chip is different at different place--- you can get it here they have the prices. my son got his here and was about 350 something like that. and you can put it in yourself it very eazy comes with great instructions.
Okay, How about the Western Diesel "Turbo Chip" any users out there? How does it perform? Where and how much should they cost? Thanks for the info........
I recently got a "Diablo" chip for my dads 1999 f-250 powerstroke
and the power was amazing also the shifting improved dramatically, and the gas milage went up 2 miles! Really fun to drive!
