I changed the spark plug wires because the bad I went slow one at a time but she wont start.#1 ,2,3 is on the passanger side right 4,5,6 on drivers
side from frount to back. When you put in the cap #1 should be twards the rear ?.I believe I am right but she wont start.
in the book it shows clockwise.I have a screw type cap.Facing the engine 1 is to the rear. But in the book it shows #1 to be in the one oclock position and #6 at noon.
when you say clockwise is it right to left facing the engine ?.bEACUSE THATS HOW i HAVE THE FIRE SEquence. But she wants to backfire. It must be left to right facing the engine.
if you look at the distributer through the doghouse it is clockwise and cylinder 1 is at about 5 oclock if it still doesn't want to fire right check and double check the way you have the wires it's really easy to cross one in the tight engine compartment on these vans.
to conclude it all went well the problem was the rotor was broken darn plastic. The new part was broke I did notsee it until after a friend noticed it.and wow just haveto set thetimeing and should be good to go.I did not think to look was NEW so I tought.
