Hi! I'm new to this forum and was hoping someone could offer a little advice. I have a 2002 Ford F-150 Supercrew 4x4. I need to know the proper spark plug gap Ford recommends for it. I keep getting mixed info. I have the 5.4 liter V8 engine. Also, if there are any spark plugs that anyone has used and been happy with, I would appreciated that info too.

.054 is the correct gap. Use only the Motorcraft double platium replacements for the best results.

 

I've also heard to only use Motorcraft but i see the correct gap is .054 you say? Every motorcraft plug i see is .045!?

 

No idea where you've been looking. Spark plug TYPE is listed in your owner's manual

Plug gap is on the VECI label under the hood of your truck. Look there FIRST.
