5.4L Champion Plug Gap

What is the proper spark plug gap for the Champion 7989 spark plugs, for a 2005 5.4L.

I just installed the champions today and went with the .045 gap, idle is the same as before, so far so good.

The motorcraft and autolight's are not adjustable, It is a solid tab across the electrod that cannot be adjusted. Does the new one piece Champion have an adjustable gap?

Yes the Champions are like a standard plug, with an adjustable gap. I ended up setting my gap to .44.

Probably could have gone with a .42 and got away with it...It'll only get bigger as they wear.
