what kind of hose to use for rad overflow?

What properties does a hose have to have in order to be rad fluid safe?

I'd like to use clear hose. Automotive places around here don't really carry clear stuff, but I can get it from work.

The overflow hose doesn't have to have any particular properties. There isn't any high pressures on it.

Try the clear - if it discolors, switch to something else.

You won't be out much if it's the wrong hose. Most use a vacuum hose or a fuel hose.

I got tons at work, so I'll just keep replacing it if it does.

If it discolors, it's probably reacting to the antifreeze and being dissolved - that's why I suggested going to something else if this happens. Medical-grade clear tubing is good stuff but it's expensive.
