Hey all, I hope you are having wonderful Memorial Day remembering our Vets.
I am not getting any fuel out of the pump. I take the pump off and notice I don't have any resistance on the lever at all. I have another known good pump, so I go to install it and can't get the lever to catch on the cam. I try at all angles and turning the motor. Nothing, I look inside, but these old eyes don't see anything even with a flashlite.
Question, what happened and what is it going to entail to get this bugger running again?
Thanks, Ray.
when was this combo last working? DId it quit suddenly, and is there any noise? There should be resistance when pushing the pump lever, if you have fuel in the filter housing, it should suirt out when you push the lever.
If you determine the pump is good, it must be the fuel pump eccentric, the pin that mates the eccentric to the cam or the bolt that holds the eccentric. I would think these would be noisy if they failed.
Thanks, it may be awhile before I can get to it. I am experiencing some technical difficulties with the old body right now. It comes and goes. Thank God for the VA. I will let you know what I find though.
Thanks again, Ray.
