I bought a 92 ford ranger 3.0 and it has no spark. Thought that it would be an easy fix but Ive run into problems. Ive changed the coil and had the Ignition Module tested they said it was good. Found that the Distributor was messed up by the previous owner so I replaced it. My guess is he thought like I did that the pick up coil was bad and tried to replace it but he had no luck. Found a little corrosion on some connections and cleaned those up. Still no spark. There is power getting to coil, module, Distributor but no fire from the coil. I have no wiring diagram for it so I cant exactly figure out which wire is what. Does anyone have any suggestions for me Im stuck.

The cap and rotor are good? How about the wire from the coil to the distributor? If so, this seems to me to be a problem with the module on the distributor. Maybe a bad connector. Do a compression check to make sure there isn't some kind of timing problem, then check the distributor to make sure it is tdc #1 on the compression stroke. If you have been removing the distributor, that seems like a good place to double check. Good luck and keep us posted.
I'm thinking along the same lines regarding the ignition control module. Seems to be where things are breaking down. If the ICM is getting power like you say, then it might be that it is not grounded properly.
Could still be a bad module, too. Is there any way you can swap in another one real quick just to see what happens?
I'm also curious, is the ICM on your '92 remotely mounted, or is it mounted on the distributer?
Have you had the codes run on the computer? what about a crank sensor or even a cam sensor. (some cam sensors are located in the distributor as pick up plates.) You need to scan the puter for codes. Some vehicles wont spark without a crank sensor or cam sensor reference.
Its actually mounted up front next to the radiator. See I kinda thought that it could be bad but I took it to be tested and they said it was good... But as we all know that when its broke and u take it in to get it fixed it works fine. I could change it out but I would have to buy a new one not a big deal but I was trying to avoid spending any more money than what I had to. Just looking for some more ideas to try before I go spending more money.
Im not sure if it has a crank sensor or a cam sensor I need to find a wiring diagram for this truck its a 92 Ranger 3.0 if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Oh and I havent had any codes ran on the computer Im not sure how to do so this is my first ford. Also dont have the money to pay someone to do it for me. Kinda stuck if anyone can help.

Don't buy a new ICM just to test the old one if you can't bring it back for a refund in the event it's not needed. You risk wasting too much $$ that way. If all sales are final from parts stores in your area, then a much cheaper option is a junkyard.
And make sure you clean the area where the ICM mounts, and clean the mounting bolts real good, too. I know that on my '94 SHO, the ICM mounting bolts are actually used for ground.
