I would like to instal a power chip in my 97 F250 7.3L Powerstroke. I am looking for more off line proformance and better fuel economy. any imput would be appreicated
Thanks for responding, Yes I am going to be moving about 3,000 miles and will be towing a 20' trailer loaded, I want to see if I can improve the milage and power, most of the time I dont tow anything but I am a contractor and keep the truck loaded with tools and things. The truck has 410 gears with posi if that makes a difference. thanks again!
Generally, if you're towing heavy loads, you want to stick with a 50hp chip. 70hp will work for light/medium loads and 100+ chips are not recommended unless you modify the exhaust system because the EGT can get high. We sell Diabo and Superchips here in our online store.
