I was 25 when I married after dating her for about a year. I was sure of one thing - she was NOT marrying me for my money, since I didn't have any. I was going to school on the GI Bill when I met her and was broke all the time. I graduated and was hired to work on some wonderful new machines called computers. The company sent me to Cleveland and I sent for her. We were married among strangers by strangers and started an adventure that has produced a son and a daughter, seven grandkids and a pocketfull of memories - 44 years and counting.

It's like that old saying, "You will know when it is the right one". Dated for 6 months. I was 23 and still at home and she was 20 when we got married. We will celibrate 11 wonderful years in July.
Were you using the ENIAC computer back in 59? Or was that back when you worked for the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) within the Department of Defense (DoD). "Internet history"
Dated 18 months. I was 30, she was 26 when we married. She loves to fish, loves to camp, loves to go hunting (but chooses not to shoot big game), earns as much money as I do, and takes care of our household...what more can a guy ask for?
Dated for 11 months, engaged for about 10 months more, married now for almost 9 years. I had just turned 21 when we got married, and she was about 2 months shy of 21. We have a 6 y.o. girl, a 4.5 y.o. boy, and an almost 3 y.o. boy, and everything's peachy.
Met my wife thru mutual friends. Took her to Cozumel Mexico 3 weeks after meeting. Proposed to her 1 week after we got back. Got married 7 months later. That was 9 years and 2 kids ago. Still going strong.

Just kidding...
It was a Univac Model 1 file computer that had hundreds of vacuum tubes and took lots of room and tons of AC. We were trained to work on any part of the system but each had a speciality - mine was line printers and paper tape systems. The memory drums were about the size of 55 gal barrels. They were owned by the government (FAA). The system was maintained by a crew of seven working shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. I went from Customer Engineer to Senior Field Service Engineer to National Field Service Manager in the 16 years I fixed computers and I enjoyed it all. Greed set in and I switched to sales, but it was not as much fun.

I married my high school sweetheart at 19 yrs old. It was A lovely wedding, She looked beautiful. The whole town turned out. I was A festive day for all.
3 Years and it was all over THANK GOD
At 29 I married Robin. We had dated early in high school. We have been married for 16 years now. The best words I have ever said in my life was, I do, to her. She puts up with me (not A small job) and loves me no matter what stupid thing I do next. I joke with her and laugh with her.
What really matters is being happy with the person you are with. It may take you years to figure out who is right, it may only take weeks. My hope for you, is you find the right one on the first try.
