Krispy's

I'm not the biggest fan of Krispy Creme doughnuts. But few things taste as good as they do when they're free. Its been a long time since I've had a crew get something just for wearing a Fire or EMS uniform. The crew was shocked when the counter pserson asked what else they wanted...since its on the house. Then she started with suggestions. They crew was still off guard......so the girl just boxed them up a couple dozen as a sampler.
So hurray for Krispy Creme. A little appreciation.
Man these things are good this morning. Thanks Krispy

Hurray for Krispy Creame!!!!

I am a delivery guy and last week during the flooding here in Iowa I saw a bunch of police and firemen battling the flood waters so I stopped and offered them some of my goods...They where completly dumbfounded but sure appriciated it... I figured it was the least I could do for their hard work

I gave all cops and firemen HUGE discounts when I was tattooing. Most of the time I wouldn't charge and they would just tip me. I have probably tattooed 20 cops and the same in firemen. It was always nice to have them around, they would always check up on me, make sure everything was fine. That was a great bonus being a women owning a tattoo shop. You never know what type of person could walk in the door. I had been pulled over one night, and a cop that I didn't even tattoo knew who I was, and all he had to say to me was "Have a good night" I love the sense of community you have when you actually know the people who make your lives safe!
Civil servants deserve so much!!!! Bravo to you guys that work so hard!!!!

Here Krispy accepts my debit card that goes through the university. I have gotten 3 dozen free donuts from their machine being down that takes the card. It is a good business practice.

Reason enough! The Fire, EMS and police do a GREAT job and are under-appreciated. To any reading this - THANKS!

I have mixed feelings on this. I am a police officer. The agency that I am at now allows us to accept free things so I do. When I was a deputy McDonalds came to town. One stupid cop would go in uniform when he was off duty and order for the family. Micky D's policy was no charge. This guy just pushed it too hard. I prefer to take a 50% discount to free. The people working there don't get much free so I don't feel right taking it either.

Years ago, I liked donuts. Now they just make my mouth taste funny.

They still taste good. I just don't like the after effects.
