I am thinking of buying a Banks trans command for my stock '90 because I am going to do alot of towing. Has anyone tried them? Any input would be appreciated. And is there another brand to try? Thanks

I put a Banks trans-command on my 2001 7.3 as soon as I bought the truck, man, what a difference, under normal driving conditions the shifts were firm. When I load up my 5th wheel (9000lb.) the shifts were really tight, the more load the firmer the shifts. Its the best unit on the market if it shifting your looking for without going into your tranny, I just bought the Diablo Preditor, I'm going to have to install a powervalve or some other shift kit now. shifting is good till you hit 4th gear, then it just mushes into overdrive. Hope this helps.
