Well have you ever stood in line at an amusement park for a 45 min. just to get on a 15 second ride? That sucks.
But for real
How often to you see performance reports comparing 1/8mile time, mine as well just go off of 0-60.
With my truck i ran a 8.685 1/8 @ 77.63 Yea my sixty foot time was only 1.776 but this truck doesnt start to move, i mean MOVE till around 80-90 then it really goes.
Just my oppinion i feel that the 1/8 is boring and also not as recognized as a performance measuring tool.

AHRA!!! 1/8th mile, many years back we held races legally on one of our city streets. We had several cars in the high 4's, low 5's. The years were 1972,73,74 you dont think 1/8th can be fun, change the gears in your truck and It will rip your ears off.

This is what i did and i hope it works for you.
Edge set on 5(115hp)
Open exhaust if you dont have and exhaust( the temps get up there quick on the 115hp setting)
Take out your air filter(only for your runs) or replace it with a high flow
Launch it in 4x4 if you have it ( lock your hubs!!) power break it and build up about 12psi of boost when the light turns green HOLD ON!!!!
The truck should run in the low 14's depending on altitude and air temp when i got my 13.7 it was in the 60's and low humidity, in FL. But in the hot air i still ran 14 flats.
The 13.7 was my best run that night but i ran consistant 13.9 the rest of that night.
Hope this helps

if you don't put the truck in 4 wheel drive, the minute you let off the brake pedal you can say bye-bye to your tires, in the form of white smoke. the 4x4 launches significantly reduces your 60 foot times. with 4 wheels putting power to the ground instead of two, you have effectively quadrupled your traction, as you have gained double the available tire surface area and cut the torque to each wheel in half.
