Try it when it is cold so you can see what the spark is like, should be blue. Then try it when it won't start and hopefully the spark is more of an orange color. Then you have something to compare it to.

I had a similar problem too. When it was warm and I attempted to restart it would just crank and crank and crank but not turn over. I had some gumout fuel injection spray lying around that I sprayed in the TB and it started great. Doing that everytime though got old fast. I then changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and full-on fuel system cleaning and it still did it alittle bit after that but eventually went away entirely. Kinda weird. I guess it was getting too weak a spark. I kinda doubt it was fuel. BTW, you'll know when the pumps dying. It moans like it wants to die.

i had an 82 chevy with 350 8"skyjacker lift and 38" swampers ( sorry, but i was proud). Had the same problem, it turned out to be the solenoid was bad, not the whole starter. So i just replaced that part and tada!! Now im not sure of the way the FI bronco starters work (ive had good luck and havent had to replace it yet) but anyways....hope this helps.
