Airbag code 4-7
Thanks
As for resetting it... don't know. maybe just fixing the sensor fixes it.
Code 47 means that the pretensioner in the seatbelt in the passanger side is failing and in case of an accident, the airbag would not deploy.
What you need to do to get it fixed, pull the seat belt all the way out,and then let it go back by itself.after doing this if the light is still ON or flashing the code 47,you may check the airbag cables under the passanger side seat .
I did it and the problem is GONE and it was FREE!!!
good luck
P.S:you don't need to reset or disconnect any cable or fuses. This is the way it works.

I specifically joined this forum just to say a big THANK-YOU to you as you have helped me fix my airbag light problem in my 2010 Ford Escape. My problem with the 4-7 flashing light started happening around a week ago and just before then, I'd had the car serviced. I thought that perhaps the new guy that serviced my car had accidentally touched something that had triggered the fault. After reading your post, and before calling the mechanic thank goodness, I thought I would try pulling the seatbelt all the way out and letting it go back in by itself like you suggested. I did this a few times but it didn't remedy the problem. I then read on in your post that it could be the cables under the seat. I remembered that I had had a water bottle under the passenger side seat that would knock around when I went round corners etc. I thought that maybe this had dislodged a wire under the seat. I was right! It was still connected but only just. As soon as I plugged it all the way back in, I turned on the Escape and no more warning light for the airbag!!! So once again, thank-you so much. I didn't need another expense at this moment and you saved me potentially big bucks.
Many, many thanks,
Em.
