98 F-150 Oil Pan Gasket Torque

The manual says.........
Tighten the bolts in three stages in the sequence shown.
Stage 1: Tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
Stage 2: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
Stage 3: Tighten an additional 60 degrees.
They are supposed to be quite tight.
I dont think I've ever seen them back off and cause a leak.
I think I would clean it off really well and keep an eye on it to see if it's really the pan or not.
