Justin, I think he's talking about the Ignition Control Module, which can be found in 2 places depending on year:
Mounted on the outside of the distributor body with 2 screws and a big multi-pin plug sticking out of the end of it; or on the driver's side inner fender wall.
The one on the fender has some 'heat sink' ribs on the top of it and a big plug on the end of it. The wiring will go from the dist to that box.
I remember I had to buy a special ratcheting star wrench to remove the distributor-mounted module from my friend's F150 because there was no way to get a regular screwdriver shaped star driver in there. I think that truck was an '89. If I remember correctly my '92 has the module on the inside fender.
Yes, I think you will find the TFI (ignition module) on the fender on your truck. Do you have a picture of the modules that go to the injectors? I can't think of anything other than just a wiring junction. There should be a computer case ground coming from the computer harness at the computer, and should be screwed to the fender. Another to check would be the grounding strap between the engine and the body. Just look around and see if you can find any ground straps that aren't attached correctly, or might look corroded. Also make sure the negative battery terminal is good and clean, and that those wires are not corroded.
