Mopar and Ford both used a 5 X 4.5 bolt pattern. It is believed the hub protrusion on the Mopar is a larger diameter than the Ford. Meaning, you can go with a Ford 8.8 or 9" rear end using the 5 X 4.5 bolt pattern (see suitable donors above in the rear axle stickied note at the top of the this forum) and the Mopar front hubs by using "Mopar" wheels. (Presumably Ford wheels would not fit over the Mopar hub.)

I have a 63 Galaxy 9" rearend in my 56. It is 1" narrower than the stock rearend. Also look for 61-64 Galaxy, 71-73 Mustang/Cougar, 68-71 Torino/Fairlane, Montego, Ranchero. They will all need to have new mounts welded in the correct position for the truck.
