Hi everyone I would like any info you might have about putting twin stacks on my 97 F350 crew cap I know it would be load if I only used the cat conv. but would it hurt the motor any info would be helpfull thanks for your time.
sorry but your in the wrong area. I was told just for some nice 6" stack it would cost about 140 for the chrome stacks. sorry I can't help you more but ford did not put cat conv. on the older InDierct Injection diesels.
160 for two 3" x 4' stacks with turn out tip
15' of three inch pipe
straight through muffler
4 hours in muffler shop manufacturing Y pipe, brackets, bends and assembly time
I have about 400 in the job in parts and labor, but the muffler guy is a good friend and I had to help him do it.
twin three inch stacks are plenty big for a 7.3
The turbo keeps it kinda quiet except deceleration at about 2400 RPM, sounds like a Jake brake for a band about 600 RPM wide.
