2.9 Pilot Bearing

2.9 Pilot Bearing
I have a question about the pilot bearing on a 2.9. I have a Ranger 4wd have been having trouble with the clutch. I was wondering how far in the end of the crankshaft should the pilot bearing be driven can anyone tell me this I have looked at the Haynes and Clilton manuals they don't really tell how far in it goes.

On the 2,9 L the pilot bearing goes in the FLYWHEL!!!!Not in the crankshaft.It fits flush on both sides and takes a spesial tool to remove it,get a good repaire manual for your truck.BE SAFE,USE JACKSTANDS!!
