noise comming from tranny

noise comming from tranny
i have an 87 b2 with the 5 speed manual. going down the freeway i notice i have a grating/rubbing noise in the first 3 gears as well as 5th.... what would it possibly be, throwout bearing or pilot bearing, clutch????? tranny is the fm-146 on a 2.9 motor

nevermind, found it on search, syncros are going out

Check and change the fluid before assuming it is a hardware problem.

thought of that, fluid was changed a few months ago. found someone with the same symptoms on here, looks like im swapping out the fm 146 here soon
