What is the best exhaust system for a PSD? Don't say the 3.5" factory exhaust system! I know that's not it. I'm not looking for a major power rush, just trying to optimize the running gear I have. I have a 1974 Bronco that I can go power hungry with! This is for my 2002 F-250 XLT, 4x4, PSD/6 spd.(275 hp/520 ft-lbs.), SC, Short Bed. I'm not sure, but it looks like the Dodge's I've seen come with a 4" pipe. I could be wrong. I'd like to get everyone's opinion on this. Also, any suggestions on intake improvements. I've heard so many different things I don't know what to think. Speak up guys!
I have been looking into an exhaust upgrade myself; you can pick-up some real bang for your buck with the Western Diesel Pro-Shot kit. It was installed on the TV show "Trucks" on TNN, it added 150+ rear wheel hp and 350+ more ft/lbs's of torque. I have spoken with their customer service Dept. and they assure me I will not be sorry. Also, they are also willing to send video of that segment of the show. You can investigate further at, www.westerndiesel.com.
Has anybody installed just a K & N and/or a Banks Git Kit? I'm thinking about both and I'd like some feedback. Also, does anybody know of any Powerstroke wav files or the like. The only ones I've seen are the idling wav's. I can go outside and get that! I'm looking for some that have modified exhaust, straight pipes, etc. I know what the Cummins sounds like modified, even the Durajap, just not the PSD. BTW, mines a 2002 F-250 with the 275hp PSD/6 spd.
I am also looking for a performance exhaust for my 02' Excursion.
I have heard of people with 5 and 6'' exhausts.
I actually saw a black excursion with this monster of an exhaust
that exited the car in a turndown in back of the right rear tire.
Looked real nice.
Any help here ??

This is what my '95 sounds like accelerating from 0 to 60 mph with
a straight pipe. It sounds about like a gasser with glass packs except for the turbo whistle at an idle.
