Mass air
It uses a heating eliment to measure the amount of air intering the motor. It does this but sensing hot much the eliment cools from the air being pulled by it. The computer then knows how much air is being pulled into the motor, and applies fuel to the amount of air.
go here and buy from this guy. www.fordfuelinjection.com. way cheaper and does great work. Guys name is Ryan.

Go to the site stated above, it will explain mass air and speed density which you have and gives the good/bad of each system. great site with lots of info.
perhaps I'm haveing an off-day... but I can't seem to find the MAF conversion on the fordfuelinjection site. Do you just buy a custom harness, then buy all the sensors and stuff? I'm not completely MAF-retarded, but I also don't know what all components to buy. Can anyone advise?
email Ryan who runs the site. He can build you a harness, and can help you build your own if you feel up to it. He's just got the process down and the work he does looks good ive seen pictures of others he has done. Me, i dont have enough mods on my 351w to justify the swap yet.
