'86 F-150 EFI 302 -- 8,000 miles since overhaul.
For the last 1,000 miles or so I've had this odd knock that I can't pinpoint. The best way I can describe it is; it sounds like a piston being shook around in a thick walled coffee can. I can feel the knock if I put my hand on the top of the upper intake. Is heard on the passenger side towards the back, not the drivers. Increases speed when I get on the gas. The truck runs fine and doesn't burn oil.
Why do I have a bad feeling that it's a piston or something close to that? If this engine goes this quick I'm gonna have to save up and get something bigger . . . . . . . mmmmmm . . . . . 460.
