Greetings,

I am in the process of buying a 58 Ranchero. Why does your forum only go back to 61. They were making them in 57. Anyway, anyone know what it may be woth, without drive train. Body is straight with surface rust. Are the original drive trains impossible to get?

the 61 is for the econolines only. ranchos go all the way back.
the drivetrains are not impossible to get, just getting a little scarce.
most people want to upgrade for saftey and comfort issues. i personally like the simple stuff best. course i am kinda a simple minded guy.

Depending on how correct you need the drivetrain to be, you could hunt down the #s matching production dates &/or put in what fits properly.
