Ranchero mileage

Now that gas has hit over $2.40 a gal in my neck of the woods, I was wondering what kind of mileage other people get on the 1978 or late ;70's ranchero? I'm getting about 10 mpg

just to let you know i'm not ignoring you. i'm not on the road yet, and i don't think my mileage will be to good cuz i'm putting on a Predator carb and the cleveland 4V is a little built. wide ratio C6, 10" converter and 4.11's too. 10mpg? are you dragging something? what's your engine/trans/carb/exhaust yada yada yada? i'm hoping for better than 10!?
