Hi All,
My first post of many to come.
Have a 76 F100 4x4 with a 360 project truck.
I will be doing a complete rebuild soon but for now it is still running but the temp guage is not working and iam not sure where to look to find the sending unit? The themostat housing has a terminal but no wires attached. Would the wires run down the right or left (pass) side of the motor?
any help would be appreciated.
i believe the wire should come from the same harness as the coil wires, should have a orange/red end that slips over the heat sensor, this is the way mine was set up on my 75 f150 360, good luck
the Temp sending unti is just back and to your left from the distributor on the intake manifold. Just in front of the carb. It's a bit hard to see. The wires should run down the driver side valve cover along with the coil +, and the oil pressure gauge wire.
