I have a 2004 F-250 Super Crew. I can't find a bug shield for the 2004 anywhere except for Lund's stainless steel which retails at $100.00. I do not want to spend that much on a bug shield however I've thought about it and take it to a paint shop to have it painted True Blue color to match my truck.
If y'all know of sources where I could buy a bug shield for the 2004 Super Crew please do list them.
Your local Ford dealer should have them.I don't think that stainless steel shield will hold the paint all that great..The first time a rock or a BIG bug hits it,you'll have a chip in the paint. If you want one to match your truck,Ford should have one...If not you'll want one that's clear,so you can paint it from the back side of the shield..I think J.C. whitney sells the clear shields too.Hope this helps!!
I wish I would of used some blue locktite the first time......I had a screw come loose on the hwy during a 5 hour haul and it scratched my paint on the hood, I cant believe I didnt hear it or anything. crap! I wasent too happy to see that on my new 03 superduty.
I got a Lund, "Trident", smoked, which is probably their heaviest and thickest shield. It stands well off the hood and does not need "bumpers".

pep-boys sells em for 39.95. bugflector II. it seems to help with the bugs a little, ... they hit the window higher .. but mostly i think the truck looked incomplete without it and it will protect the front of your hood. always the point showing wear on an older truck that didnt have one.
Try Ebay, from time to time sellers let them go buy it now for around $40.00. Bought one a few months ago for the Excursion and so far so good, the price with shipping was around $50.00. Now I need a set of window deflectors.
Yea I just got a bug sheild and the window visors for my Dad's new superduty on E-Bay - even with shipping they were only a little over half the price I could buy 'em for anywhere around locally!
I've put a Lund "FrontRunner" part # 290XX on mine. I wish I had had it painted when new. I really like it because it causes less wind turbulence on the windshield. Others have not let washer fluid reach the glass at highway speeds. Instead, it sprays my hood.
Less wind noise is also a good thing. Now, I'll just paint it with black bumper spray to keep the danged Lovebug damage from showing. If I get a new truck, that is the model I'll buy again.
