Reminder....

If you haven't removed your roof rack cross bars on the Ex - consider it since it WILL wear the paint off...

Did mine. Got rid of that annoying rattle when traveling on rough roads too.

I took mine off right after getting home from the dealer with it!
I have Yakima racks for when anything goes on the roof, like our canoe and/or our rocket box.

Took mine off months ago. Would you believe I was able to sell them on eBay? I've been modifying two sets of Explorer crossbars (making them wider) so I can have four factory-looking crossbars/towers. Unfortunately, that little project has taken a back seat to my many other "irons in the fire."

Which cross bars are the ones wearing off the paint?. The small ones or the larger ones with the release latches on the ends?.

I took them all off...

but if you've had them on a while... just move them a bit and you can tell which one is wearing the paint... ( Doh !)

IIRC, it's the "big" ones...
