will a 390 work
Well I heard lots about this sight from the Slick 60's site so I thought I'd check this out. (unfortunatly I lost my '65 f-100) But anyways got a new project a '79 Bronco Custom. It has a 400 t-18 4spd. The motor I believe made need more help then I can afford at the moment. It has two cylinders with no compression. What I would like to know is whether or not my 390 in a '75 f-150 can be bolted up for now. I know I need to get belhousing, clutch, flywheel, etc. (the 75 has a c-6) My main question is was the 390 ever bolted to the t-18? If so what's the earliest they used that transmission? Also last but, not least anyone know how much of a difference there is in motor mounts? This isn't a swap I really want to do but, I need the Bronco on the road and the 390 is a good solid engine. (3 kids and the ole lady doesn't fit well in a standard cab) thanks for any help.
