1999 F250 PDS 4X4 SuperCab
I am getting ready to replace the shock on my truck and have narrowed my choices down to the Rancho9000 and the Edlebrock Performer IAS shocks. Which would be best for the PSD? I tow a 5000lb trailer during the summer but that is about all, only minor hauling otherwise. Would these shocks be recommended?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Feb-02 AT 09:38 AM (EST)] A little longer than one year ago I purchased a set of Rancho Adjustable shocks for my E350, 4x4. This improvement alone made more difference than I'd ever imagined. Throughout my life, I'm thirty-five, I've owned numerous trucks, and never before have I had a better ride than I've received since installing the Rancho shocks. I'm disabled, wheelchair bound, so .... being so, I'm strapped to go floor of my van for proper stability and safety. While strapped down, I feel every lump and bump on every street or surface I'm riding on. They're good shocks, this I contest to.
Just my opinion.

**I tow a trailer/car weighing in somewhere around 7500lbs. I've yet to have the first complaint about these shocks. :-)
The Rancho's are great (I like mine), but you may not need an adjustable (expensive) shock for the duties you describe. Edelbrock or Bilstein should be fine for your needs, but you can't go wrong with "Rancho no problemo"
