Hi All,
I am looking to put a Drawtite Activator II on my 2000 excursion. I am using the factory grey connector with the red, white, blue, Lt. green and brown wires. The activator II has red, blue, white and black. I can match up the ones that match but what do I do with the black one from the brake control and the Lt. green and brown from the factory connector? They must go somewhere. I know someone out there has connected one of these, can you tell me the right direction.
Thanks.

The red is constant hot, the blue runs back to the trailer brakes, the black is switched power(from the ignition), the green picks up power from the brake light switch, the brown is a dash light circuit, and the whit is ground. It should be labled on the factory harness which wire is for what, and the contoller you purchased should have the wires marked also. Do not assume that the wires are color coated to match, they are not. Look carefully on the wire, and/or read the instructions completely before you hook the wires up and find that nothing works correctly. If you do not have instructions you may be able find them on the internet.
