I appreciate digging this up. Lots of interesting background info from The Diesel Dude (from the early days).

Don't know about Duramaxes but you can't hear **** within 20 feet of my truck. I don't think it's quieter than the 7.3 either.

FYI

The 2003 models with the pilot injection were very quiet, then they reflashed them and took the pilot injection away. I know I had one of the very first ones to hit the local lot.

What was I thinking?????
