4X4 question

My 89 EB has an auto transfer case. Of course there is no owners manual so I have to ask a couple of silly questions.

How do I shift the truck into low range?

AND The big one...

Can the transfer case be put into Neautral like my 82?

Thanks

with an electric transfer case you need to put the trans in nuetral then you press the 4x4 high button then you hit the low range button.if you have auto hubs they will engage as you start to drive forward as long as the front driveshaft is spinning.

actually, if you have an electric transfer case, you don't have to put the transmission in neutral. you can actually shift to 4hi at any speed up to 55mph, as long as your hubs are locked. This is straight out of my '93 manual. Also, on the electric, it's either 2hi, 4hi, or 4lo. no N.
