My E40D does fine until it gets about 10 miles down the road. Sometimes at that point it will slip when attempting to take off or slip between some of the gears. If you travel 40 plus miles, sometimes it will overheat the transmission fluid and start pushing out fluid from the front seal. All of this without a loaded truck, my truck is a 1996 F-350 with PSD. I changed the filter and fluid, but it did not help. Are there any sensors or mechanical apparatuses mounted externally to the transmission that I may need to replace or adjust rather than just planning to buy a new transmission. Also, has anyone on this forum ever bought one of the transmissions of Phoenix Transmissions as sold on Ebay? Thanks for any advice...
I am considering one of the rebuilt transmissions advertised by Phoenix Transmissions, but would like to hear from someone else who bought one first. Has anyone in this forum had any experience with Phoenix Transmissions. They run a bunch of auctions on Ebay.

Thanks Mike93! I checked out the website a few weeks ago and I think that is what I am going to do. I was impressed by the detail by which they explained their process. I will just have to put it in myself. But this time I am going to buy myself a transmission jack. I assume your transmission is performing well. Thanks for the information.
