Mine is a June engine and June truck. I'm not sure, but I've never had a problem. I use Power Service

Well... you're welcome to that opinnion, but I think there's ample evidence that Ford does things for reasons that have nothing to do with the happiness of the average PSD owner. We do not know why they gave up on PI.

We know they had problems with the C94 injectors. as-far-as-we-know, the C95's have been fine. We know they've had various buglets concerning the computer --- but it's not clear how/if they resolved it. It's pretty clear that the oil is a factor and that the fullness of the oil is a factor.

But in the end, someone at Ford is going to estimate the benifit and the cost of keeping PI and the benifit and cost of axing PI. If axing is cheaper, then axing they will do. Does it matter if you would pay $1000 for a PI engine. Does it matter that you would be willing to use a certain specific oil rather than any CI-4 oil? No.

Specifically, the reason to proceed with this type of project is that we have no control right now. In the end, we might not achieve PI. We can't know the issue because we don't have a way to experiment.
