Testing coil packs

Can anyone tell me how you test the cop's on a 5.4. I have a multimeter, but I'm not sure where to put the + & - leads to test it, and what kind of reading should I get? I've tried to find info on this and I have been unsuccessful.
Thanks,
Kevin

There's only two leads on my coil terminals (2003 F250 5.4L) and it doesn't matter what polarity is used since you're not testing a diode or a transistor. I've read in another post that "normal" coils should read between 0.5 Ohms and 1.5 Ohms. All 8 of my coil read the same 0.8 Ohms. 0 Ohmns means there is a break in the coil winding and above 1.5 Ohmns means the winding is shorted out or corroded, either way it's bad news.
