Please Help: Build Date of 10/03

I posted a Thread earlier; however, I havent gotten any responses. Therefore I am going to rephrase my question. I am currently looking at a 2004 F 250, 6.0, XLT, 8ft, FX4, Super Cab with a build date of 10/03. Thus I was simply wondering if I should not purchase this truck due to his build date? Could someone please help.

Thanks
Ryan

ICP location will tell you if its an 04 motor. My engine was built 10/27/03 and its an 04 motor. I would not buy it if it turns out to be an 03 motor in an 04

See here...it has pics, print it out and bring it when you check out the truck.

http://www.flatratetech.com/6literpo...oke/03or04.htm

edit...btw, if the 10/03 build date you speak of was taken off the driver side door...chances are your motor was built in 09/03. Engine build date is taken off the valve cover by the firewall.

Just go to the link above...ICP location is all you need to worry about...if it turns out to be an 04 your good.

I have the exact same truck (shadow gray) same 10/03 build date.

At 2,900 miles I have to say that I love it. Only issues are city MPG at about 13.3
and I may have an AC problem (variant cooling at higher RPM's) seen in other threads.

I have a temp guage stuck in one of my vents as we speak in order to document any changes. It's my wife that notices it the most...could just be hot flashes.
