i just purchased an eb with the subwoofer option, but there is no harness connecting the woofer and the amplifier.. where would i be able to find this?? thanks.
Its got to be back in the same quarter panel area.... unless they cut it off. Maybe the woofer was blown and they disconnected it to hide the fact. The subwoofer is not replacable from Ford at this time. Our dealership has had two come in blown and nothing avaliable from Ford to date.
Unfortunately I have no part numbers for the pigtail assembly which is part of the main loom. You would have to search down at what point the harness was cut out and try to find a matching section from a salvage yard. Maybe someone had removed the system and put in an aftermarket setup and butchered away, then just stuck the old components back in when they traded off.
thanks for the help, but i think it was unplugged from the amplifier and cut out from the busted woofer, is there a replacement harness that goes into the amp and out to the sub?.. and how much does the pprogramming of a single key usually cost.. thanks for the help..
You would have to go to a Ford parts department and see what they have avaliable. Key programming is widely varying in price. My dealership does it for 27.00 but I have seen people state some places charge up to 75.00. Of course if you had 2 keys already programmed you can program one yourself for free.

I have a 98 EB w/ the Mach sound and the Sub has blown. What do you guys suggest for replacements if Ford does not supply a replacement?
One more question, can I just replace the speaker (sub) or should I look into one of those "custom fit" items?
Obviously, I'd like to spend as little as possible.
I bought an 8" Rockford to replace mine in my '97 from Ultimate Electronics. I believe it was 4 ohm and it works ok. Still need a bigger amp to get more thump, but it's better than nothing at all! I think it cost me $40.
If your looking for a pigtail that goes from the amp to the sub then your probably not gonna find one. It has been a while since I replaced my sub, but I believe the sub is built right into the stock enclosure. The wiring is internal in the enclosure. As for sub drivers... I replaced mine with a sony 8". It sounds alright but It does need a bigger amp. The door speaker replacement made the biggest improvement! They sound great!
