i was wondering what i could do to my truck to get lower egt's. i have a 99 psd with chip dual 3 inch exhaust k&n filter and a 3.5 ich down pipe. in the winter my pyro got up to 950 degrees pulling a load i don't know how much this is going to be in the summer pulling the same load. any input will help.
What kind of pipe is your exhaust made of, because if its just a steel pipe you might consider changing to aluminum. My 5 inch is aluminum and under load of around 5500 lbs I get up to 1200 Degrees maybe around 50 miles per hour. I dont know its hard to tell. But check your pipe first and go from there. Also what chip do you have?
