Okay guys, Ive got some $30 100 watt (or so they claim) Wally-world jobs on there now, but they arent doing it for me. So I'd like to divide this question into 2 parts:
What are the BRIGHTEST offroad lights out there. Period.
Second;
FOR THE MONEY, what are the best "bulb for the buck" lights out there.
I've read up about PIAA, Hella, Warn, Pro-Comp, and KC, but have never witnessed them in action (my buddies always opted for the cheap-ohs too). My lights are slightly brighter than my hi-beams, but I would really like a couple on there that really blast some light. What do you all think?
Haven't heard of Lightforce. Where can I find those?
...and I agree with you about 4wp. In all my experience between my race car, street car, and 4X4's, of all the places I've dealt with over the past 10 or so years, they are the worst Ive ever dealt with.
My buddy has a pair of PIAA lights. I don't remember the model number but they're 8" in diameter and are absolutely the brightest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Spendy though.
I'm not familiar with Lightforce but those lights look awesome and are a little less expensive than the PIAA's I think.

oooo ok. i didn't know *4wp* sold lights! i don't order from them anyways.
there is always some sort of halogen light shootout that petersons does. i do recal one specific article that they tested like 4-5 different ones. i don't remember what issue, but i will dig through my mountain of 4-wheeler mags and try to find it
Lightforce also makes none hid lights. If you get the 130 watts they are pretty damn bright. They only run about $130.My friends make fun but I can have twenty of these for what they paid for a few h.i.d.'s
Ivan scroll down on that Lightforce link. I think you were just looking at the "normal" Lightforce ones. They Have a model called the HID Blitz and cost $1,455.00 a pair! 9.5" in diameter and 1.5 million candlepower! I think these are more than anything PIAA makes. Don't get me wrong PIAA lights are very good quality but the Lightforce HID Blitz will blow any PIAA lights away. Just need the $$$$$$$$$$!
i run pro comps on mine, and they are impressive, but i too had run those crap lights before, pro comps are 100 times better. very white light and much brighter than my head lights. very impresses for the bang for the buck factor. 30 bucks per light at my local off-road shop. wiring and realys seperate, but i like to make my own harnesses.
HOLY CRAP!! $1400 for a set of lights??? Only if they come with 44" boggers. I spend insane money on stupid stuff and I can't even see paying that. I'm sticking to the $200-$300 range. I want a good bright light but honestly I don't do THAT much offroading in the dead of night. Nothing 1M candle power won't work for.
I had KC's on my old Baja Bug. Maybe it was just the model I had but I didn't think they were any more effective than a standard headlight. IMO they're for street looks.
I used the link that 95-f-350 provided and the 240's look good to me (not the $1500, the $260 Blitzs') what do you guys think about those?
I also checked out the "driving and fog lights" link at the bottom of the page, but they are more expensive. That must be a sponsor of this site????? If it is you'd think they would throw a little better price out since FTE puts a link up on this site, and promotes/throws a good word in for them whenever they can.
I got the Hella blackmagic lights and absolutly love them. Complete kit with all wires already wrapped and everything for two hundred bucks. They look sweet too. They come with a 55w bulb, and you can get a 100w bulb for like 6 bucks. I am just using the 55w for now... and even those are BRIGHT!!
