Springfield makes some lower end stuff too. If you get one that actually has a military spec. number, you have a great scope.

I only reload competition ammo....223 and .308. It's a real PITA since I do one round at a time to ensure consistency.

You do what I do, Handload. I do not reload because it is cheaper, I handload high quality specialty ammo that I can not buy. You can just about buy ammo now for the sam price you can load it, cheaper if you consider your time.

I loaded up 15 rounds for test firing for my dads elk hunt today. Loaded 5 160gr Nosler AccuBonds, loaded 5 175 Nosler Partitions, and 5 160gr Barnes Triple Shocks. Took a while too, I'm very critical of my ammo.

Trajectories

Has anyone noticed how much "higher" some loads shoot at higher elevations, compared to 200' above sea level loads, probably due to thinner air, less air resistance, and not shooting at extreme angles, either. It's advisable to shoot some paper targets at the elev. at which you are hunting.
