skinny (less than 12" wide) 35" or 36" tire
Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a skinny (less than 12") tire in 35" or 36" diameter for street and offroad (@ 5x5.5 bolt holes)? I already know of michelin xl/xml/xzl tires, but I'm wondering if there's more out there. Any suggestions? The truck is a 78 f150 4x4. Thanks,
Chris

you would have to look around and find them but they have them. more than likely the military and industrial tires would be your best bet.
of course i doubt they come from the factory with bolt holes....whatcha gonna bolt to it? more tread .
a tire is gonna be 35-36" tall and have a diameter of 12.5".....the wheel has the bolt holes but they rarely come together as one.....they haven't found a way to weld a rim to a tire and still hold air! and if you ever find a 35" wheel for light truck use...let me know!

try these guys....they make a lot of industrial and commercial use tires http://www.denmantire.com/catalog.php
good luck finding a wheel that fits it and your truck though.

Thanks for the replies. The bolt holes number is for my wheels/rims. I just didn't want someone replying that they'd found some 36" x 9" tires, but would require 20" rims. The normal wheel sizes for 5x5.5 bolt holes is 15, 16, 16.5 and 17 (I think). I already have 33" BFG's and am looking to upgrade.

Yeah dude I gotta second those who advise against tires with that bolt mattern already in them, they really blow for all types of driving.
Interco has a TSL SS 35.5x10.5 for your 15" wheel.
They also have a TSL SSR 35x10.5 for the fifteen.
I like the tall skinnies too but your options really open up if you can take a 12.5 wide tire.
