Head info

I just got some dyno software and was wondering what size in my intake on my heads (cc) and maybe some flow numbers

They have a home port job.

They are 69 heads c9te heads with 58cc combustion chamber and stock size valves, (1.74 intake, 1.54exhaust i think)

any help would be great

thanks
Brian

69 heads or C9OE/D0OE heads came with 1.84/1.54 valves stock

This site will provide some good flow data:

Have fun

The 69 C9TE heads had the same combustion chambers as the C9 and D0OE 351W heads, but got the smaller 1.78/1.45 valves.

Appears I had the right answer but wrong question.

I was not seeing the T in the casting number, after looking again, appears you do have 302 heads if they are C9TE. Seems the intake port is the same as the other C9/D0 heads except the exhaust port is smaller, port it some and it should flow similar to the D0 heads with larger valves installed, people add larger valves and port heads anyways so looks like a good head if you got it priced right. Good luck with the buildup

The stock E7TE heads use 1.78/1.46 sizes and will not be significantly different in flow.

The E7T heads have harden seats for unleaded gas where as the C9 heads do not. Just food for thought.

hey sorry for the late response
so the e7te heads have about the same flow
yes they are truck heads
yes these heads have been rebuilt with hardend exhaust seats,

does that make a flow difference? i thought it was just for the gas

Yeah I usually consider the exhaust valve size to be 1.46 but they are really 1.457 inches. You know the 302 is really a 4.9 liter engine but advertised as the 5.0

I didn't mean to imply that the hardend seats improved flow. I just thought I would mention it in case the motor was driven daily. If it is then hardened seats in my eyes would be a plus.

I prefer the newer style heads just simple because the valve train is easier to work on. I've read good things about the E7 heads.

Yeah and look at how well the E7's respond to porting.

Fordeverpower, I agree. No use in getting too persnickery about fractions of an inch.
