Appears I had the right answer but wrong question.
I was not seeing the T in the casting number, after looking again, appears you do have 302 heads if they are C9TE. Seems the intake port is the same as the other C9/D0 heads except the exhaust port is smaller, port it some and it should flow similar to the D0 heads with larger valves installed, people add larger valves and port heads anyways so looks like a good head if you got it priced right. Good luck with the buildup
hey sorry for the late response
so the e7te heads have about the same flow
yes they are truck heads
yes these heads have been rebuilt with hardend exhaust seats,
does that make a flow difference? i thought it was just for the gas
The stock E7TE heads use 1.78/1.46 sizes and will not be significantly different in flow.
Yeah I usually consider the exhaust valve size to be 1.46 but they are really 1.457 inches. You know the 302 is really a 4.9 liter engine but advertised as the 5.0
I didn't mean to imply that the hardend seats improved flow. I just thought I would mention it in case the motor was driven daily. If it is then hardened seats in my eyes would be a plus.
I prefer the newer style heads just simple because the valve train is easier to work on. I've read good things about the E7 heads.
