97 powerstroke trans. problem
I just bought my powerstroke 23 hours after buying I noticed a small transmission leak. While stuck in traffic the small leak started gushing. The truck has a Banks ottomind installed it would shift real hard with it in and normal with it out. Banks said there chip doesn't have anything to do with the transmission.
After replacing the trans. I took the chip out I miss the power but I dont want to have to replace another trans. I found out this is th fourth trans. The truck has only 109,000 miles. I would like to know if anyone has had any similar problems and if there could be something else destroying the transmission. It is long wheel base crew cab 4x4 w/ 6 inch lift 410 gears and 36x14.5x16.5 tires. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
