Transmission bolt pattr'n
I did a search, and couldnt find the exact information that I'm looking for.
Anyhow, I'd like to know what the typical 5.4 ltr engine has for a bolt pattern to the transmission. Is it the "small block", "Big block" or something new?
I'm gathering information to do an engine swap in to an older vehicle. I'd planned a late model 460 swap, but a 460 with mass air seems pretty hard to find. Most of the years of vehicles that had that as an option have the PowerStroke. Plus, the 460 swap is so common! I need to find a NEW set of problems I can solve for the next guy who wants to do this.
I've decided that the 5.4 ltr will be easier to find, and JUST as much FUN with all the computers and what not, but I havent decided if it will bolt up to my current c-6. I believe that using the transmission off of the 5.4 will result in lack of ability to use my transfer case, and the fiddling with quite a bit of things, so I'd like to keep my tranny.
