5.4 ltr. starter removal

Im having a hard time removing the 3 bolts for the starter . F-250 ,5.4 ltr. Up here in canada its -20 degrees outside .Maybe they are frozen ,or seized. Anyway does anyone know an easy way ,I dont want to break them off . I sprayed with penetrating oil .Would the block heater help,if I pluged vehicle in all night ??? --thanks

try letting the motor run for 15 minutes. It should warm the block up to operating temperature and ease some tension on the bolts. it works pretty well for o2 sensors, it might help here too.

Use an impact wrench if you have one it will loosen the bolts a lot better than doing it by hand. I guess the truck won't start if you are replacing the starter so try a small torch on the bolt area when it is that cold that metal just contracts and makes it very tight. When I replace a bearing race or bushings or something like that I put it in the freezer and it goes in way easier, I learned that from and old diesel mech.
